Tottenham fancy signing Weston McKennie and the Juventus man could become the latest player Fabio Paratici has signed twice.

Spurs will already have one eye on the January transfer window given that the Premier League is currently on hiatus due to the World Cup.

The world’s biggest show in Qatar gives Paratici, Antonio Conte and co the chance to watch a number of targets in action.

Wing backs, wingers, strikers, midfielders, left-sided centre backs, even goalkeepers – Tottenham will be looking at a host of players.

Tottenham fancy signing Weston McKennie

One name that comes up again and again and again is Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.

The 24-year-old joined Juventus from Schalke in 2020 and hasn’t quite nailed down a regular starting role for the Turin giants.

With youngsters Fabio Miretti and Nicolo Fagioli now emerging, it looks like McKennie may be available come January.

McKennie started for the USA against England on Friday night and turned in a strong performance against the Three Lions.

CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs claims that Spurs are ‘seriously considering’ a January move for McKennie with Paratici considering adding another midfielder.

Tottenham reporter Alasdair Gold has even claimed on YouTube that Paratici thinks McKennie is a ‘superstar’ and remains a huge fan of the American.

What’s pretty incredible is that McKennie could become the fourth player to join Tottenham having already been signed by Paratici once before.

Defender Cristian Romero was snapped up by Paratici in 2019 having shown huge potential at Genoa, but Juventus sold him to Atalanta in 2021 – just before he moved to Tottenham.

Paratici then pounced for two more of his former Juventus signings in January 2022 as Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski both arrived.

Paratici lured Bentancur from Boca Juniors to Juventus in 2017 and then snapped up Kulusevski from Atalanta in January 2020.

The Italian brought both players to Tottenham and McKennie could follow in their footsteps by being signed by Paratici yet again.

This is an ever-growing contingent and given how Romero, Bentancur and Kulusevski have impressed for Tottenham, it could be a good omen for McKennie.
