The Sun are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy really thought that Graham Potter would take the managerial role at Spurs.
What’s the story?
According to The Sun, Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter does not want to become the new Tottenham boss.
The Englishman would rather continue at Brighton and wait for a top-four job to come up.
Potter reportedly hopes that Manchester City eventually come calling.
The report in The Sun has claimed that Tottenham chairman Levy really thought that ‘after two months searching for a new manager he had finally landed the one in Potter’.
Blow for Tottenham Hotspur
Potter has done well at Brighton, making sure that the Seagulls stay in the Premier League by playing good, attacking football.
The Englishman is only 46, and the former Swansea City boss clearly has a big future in the management business.

Brighton chairman Tony Bloom described Potter as “excellent” on the club’s official website in May 2019.
Spurs have been without a permanent manager since April when Jose Mourinho was sacked just days before the Carabao Cup final.
Pre-season training at Tottenham will start soon, and it must be really frustrating for the fans that the managerial search is still doing on.
