Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and Kenya captain Victor Wanyama has taken to Twitter following his nation’s 3-2 win over Tanzania in Group C of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Spurs ace, whose future at the North London club remains in doubt, put in a mixed performance in midfield during a thrilling clash between the two East African nations.
Kenya twice had to come from behind against their neighbours, who led first through Simon Msuva’s tap-in and then through Mbwana Samatta’s effort five minutes before the break.
Michael Olunga scored twice for the Harambee Stars, his first a superb overhead kick for parity at 1-1 and then the winner on 80 minutes, either side of Johanna Omolo’s header.
The result moved Kenya level on three points with Senegal, who were beaten 1-0 by leaders Algeria, while Tanzania have been knocked out and remain winless.

However, there was also criticism of his performance from some fans:
Rumours surfaced last year that Spurs will be looking to sell Wanyama this summer for around £25million, according to the Daily Mail, and with Tanguy Ndombele reportedly close to joining the Lilywhites, he risks dropping even further down the pecking order.
