Jamie O’Hara has told TalkSPORT it would be a “no-brainer” for Tottenham to re-sign Christian Eriksen on a free transfer. The Dane was released by Inter Milan, but it insistent on a return – after suffering cardiac arrest.
The watchful eye of the footballing world saw ex-Tottenham star Denmark ace Eriksen fall to the floor. In the immediate aftermath, it was clear that the ex-Tottenham star had suffered a heart attack. Now, he is back.
Rules have prevented him from playing in Serie A again due to the incident. But he remains in the game and has been training. Eriksen turns 30 in February, and there is expected to be an announcement on a new club soon.
Speaking after the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday night, O’Hara spoke about the lack of creativity and that Spurs have failed to replace Eriksen. He suggested it is a no-brainer for Tottenham to re-sign Eriksen on a free.
“I know he left and went to Inter Milan and he had that terrible situation at the Euros, but he’s back fit – he’s allowed on a free. It’s a no brainer to try and get him on a free – as long as everything is okay with him; I think it is.”

It remains unclear to what level Eriksen will return to, and if he will ever play as high as the level he once did. But what is more certain, is that Spurs lack a player with his creativity – and have never replaced him.
The 109-time international clocked up an enormous 159 goal involvements in 305 games for Tottenham. Scoring 69, he also laid on 90 assists. Even if he was half the player he was, Eriksen still offers Tottenham something else.
On a free, and if he is fit and up to it, then it is a no-brainer – as O’Hara says.
