Alasdair Gold has revealed whether Dejan Kulusevski could be set for an exit from the club anytime soon, with several elite teams like Manchester City potentially eyeing the Tottenham winger’s signature.

With elite clubs such as Pep Guardiola’s side always on the lookout for reinforcements, a fan quizzed the journalist whether the £110,000-a-week creator could be on the way out.

Gold on potential Kulusevski exit

In a Q&A session with Football.London, Gold said, “I don’t think Spurs are that kind of club anymore.”

He continued, “The last one I can remember is Kyle Walker going to Manchester City, although Mauricio Pochettino seemed to give the move his blessing.”

“We saw with Harry Kane last summer, if Spurs don’t want to sell, then they won’t. Dejan Kulusevski, at just 22 has the potential to become world class.”

“Conte loves him and he’s a bargain at £30 million to make the deal permanent.”

A hugely positive revelation for Spurs fans

Upon hiring Antonio Conte, the goal from those both within and outside the Tottenham camp was that the club become a true force.

And one way of doing so is ensuring that the best players in the side do not leave the white half of North London, especially to strengthen domestic superpowers.

While the likes of Rafael van der Vaart, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Kyle Walker left for bigger and better things, it is a major positive that the Lilywhites would be unwilling to let Dejan Kulusevski leave.

The enigmatic wideman is one of the best players in his position in the Premier League.

The former Juventus forward’s quick feet, pinpoint final ball and incredible physicality makes him the perfect winger.

The fact that there is no chance a club like Manchester City swoop in for Kulusevski is brilliant for the present and the future of Tottenham.
