Memphis Depay is a long term target for Tottenham Hotspur boss.
Tottenham Hotspur were this week claimed to have entered the race to sign Memphis Depay from Manchester United, The Liverpool Echo reported.
The paper had been tracking Everton’s pursuit of the Dutchman, and the report claims Spurs’ interest is serious.

This has credence, with Depay first linked with making a move to Tottenham back in 2014, shortly after head coach Mauricio Pochettino took over.
The Guardian reported in August 2014 that Mauricio Pochettino was considering a move for Depay, weighing up whether to make a £15 million bid.
Depay stayed at PSV and had the season of his life, scoring 22 goals to finish as Eredivisie top scorer.

Manchester United signed him the following summer, and Tottenham had missed out. But perhaps no more.
Pochettino is a manager who is able to develop players and make them better. Just look at the transformation in Danny Rose since he became boss, and the way Erik Lamela has really kicked on, prior to his injury.
Depay is not getting the time to play, and improve, at Manchester United and an exit looks inevitable.
