A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur…

According to a report from the Sunday People, Tottenham Hotspur are planning to step up their interest in Palermo midfielder Franco Vazquez next week.
The 27-year-old can play as an attacking midfielder, a right winger or a secondary striker and it is being reported that his current club are expecting an offer from Spurs in the coming days.
The Italian scored eight goals and provided six assists for Palermo last season and while Tottenham could do with more attacking threat his record will not fill the White Hart Lane faithful with much confidence.

In other news, the Guardian reports that Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic received a concrete offer from Tottenham to move to North London this summer.
The striker is available on a free transfer after leaving Paris Saint Germain but while Spurs are said to have pulled out all the stops, he reportedly only has eyes for Manchester United.

And finally, Tottenham received some unlikely funds this week following the sale of youngster Musa Yahaya to FC Porto.
The Nigerian youngster was on the books at Tottenham but would remain out on loan until a work permit was received. However he has now signed a five-year deal with Porto, with Desporto Ao Minuto reporting that the North London club will be around £650,000 better off as a result.
Not a bad return for a player who never featured for them.
