A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur…

According to a report from the Sun, Tottenham Hotspur could have received a boost in their pursuit of Southampton pair Shane Long and Victor Wanyama.
The duo are among the Saints’ most important players, but the latest report suggests there could be significant changes at St Mary’s if manager Ronald Koeman takes the vacant manager’s job at Everton.

The report suggests the pair could leave regardless of Koeman’s decision, but that the Dutchman’s exit would spark an exodus, leaving some of the Premier League’s top clubs to snap up Southampton’s impressive array of talent.
Tottenham could certainly do with a player like Wanyama, but Long’s age means the prospect of a potential move to White Hart Lane has divided opinion among the Spurs faithful.

In other news, Basel sporting director Georg Heitz has been speaking to Goal about alleged Tottenham target Breel Embolo.
The young Swiss star has been heavily linked with a move to North London and Heitz feels it is time the striker moved on, with Germany and England the only two likely options.
And finally, according to Portuguese newspaper Record, Tottenham are in the frame to sign Rennes defender Sega Coulibaly for a cut-price fee with the youngster out of contract this summer.
That said, Tottenham will have to compete with Napoli and Sporting Lisbon for the player’s signature.
