Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of signing Adama Traore may have been boosted with Wolverhampton Wanderers now identifying potential replacements.
That’s according to The Express, who claim that Tottenham are in talks over a deal for Traore and have had one loan bid rejected.
Tottenham aren’t giving up, and are now expected to change their loan offer from an option to buy to an obligation, with Traore keen to make the move to North London.
Tottenham only have a week to get it done, but Wolves are now exploring signings of their own in an effort to replace Traore before the transfer deadline.
Goncalo Guedes is thought to be the top target, as Wolves have been long-standing admirers of the Valencia winger.
Guedes is, yes, another Portuguese player, and Wolves have wanted him for some time, so a deal for him to join the club in the next week does make sense.

Another option is RB Leipzig wide man Ademola Lookman, who is available for around £15million after his loan spell at Fulham came to an end.
Wolves are believed to be in the market for two wingers; one to replace Traore and one to offer more cover for Pedro Neto.
Guedes and Lookman could arrive to fill those roles, with Traore seemingly edging closer to joining Tottenham.
