According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will not be able to sign Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan in the January transfer window.
As you can see from his tweet below, Jacobs has suggested that Tottenham may not be able to sign the central defender in the summer of 2023 either.
Tottenham reportedly wanted to sign Bastoni in the summer of 2022, but the £89,000-a-week (SalarySport) Italy international centre-back did not want to leave Inter.
According to CMW, Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte remains interested in the defender he worked with at Inter.

Staying positive
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should remain positive about their chances of signing Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan.
We do not think that Inter will sell the 23-year-old in the middle of the season.
After all, Inter are aiming to finish in the top four of the Serie A table this season, and they will not surely want to damage their chances by selling any of their important players.
However, a move in the summer of 2023 could happen.
If Tottenham qualify for next seasons UEFA Champions League and make a good offer to Inter and Bastoni, then they could be able to bring the youngster to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
