The Times claim Tottenham Hotspur have offered Sporting Lisbon the choice of trio Bryan Gil, Japhet Tanganga or Emerson Royal in a deal to sign Pedro Porro this month – as they try to convince Sporting to sell Porro on the cheap.
Porro, 23, is Tottenham’s main priority this summer. Spurs are desperate to improve their options at right wing-back, with Djed Spence, Royal and Matt Doherty failing to convince Antonio Conte. Royal scored against Man City.
But Spain international Porro could come in. He has impressed against Tottenham this season, starring in both games against Spurs in the Champions League group stages. His form for Sporting has been somewhat incredible.
Indeed, Porro joined Sporting permanently from Manchester City in the summer after starring on loan for the previous two seasons. Clocking up 95 games, Porro has had a hand in 30 goals in all competitions for Sporting.
But it is this season, that Porro has gone to a new level. Clocking up 21 appearances, he has scored two goals and laid on 10 assists. Little surprise then, that Spurs are interested in signing Porro. He has a contract until June 2025.

Tottenham offer Sporting trio in deal to sign Porro, £39m exit clause
Sporting have remained clear they want Spurs to pay the release clause in Porro’s deal – worth £39m. But, Spurs are keen to strike a deal that sees them pay less clash. One way they are exploring, is a player-plus-cash transfer.
The report claims that Tottenham have offered Sporting the chance to sign Tanganga, Gil or Royal in a deal for Porro. Royal would make sense – like for like. Tanganga can play in that role. Gil is a surprising inclusion.
The Spaniard has impressed since coming into the side of late. A player with huge potential but hardly given the chance. If Spurs can pull off a deal involving Royal or Tanganga in a move to sign Porro, it would be decent business.
