A select round-up of transfer news relating to Tottenham Hotspur…
Following reports yesterday that Erik Lamela could be set for a swift exit from White Hart Lane, the Mirror has got in on the act.
The report claims the Argentine has asked for a loan move in the New Year, and cites Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan as two possible destinations.
The request was reportedly made during Andre Villas-Boas’s tenure, but the player’s mindset is said to remain the same. However, Spurs seemingly have no intention of parting with their summer signing – even temporarily – despite his failure to settle thus far.
Another player set to remain is midfielder Sandro.
The same newspaper claims the Brazilian will turn down any potential loan moves in a bid to fight for his place at White Hart Lane.
That is a bold move with the World Cup fast-approaching, but there is no doubt the player has much to offer, and could be exactly what Tim Sherwood needs as a he strives to reverse the club’s current form.
In quotes published by the Mirror, Sandro said, “I have heard that Inter and Roma want me but I am happy here at Spurs. I have no concrete contact with anyone and nor do I want any although, of course, it is nice to be appreciated.”
