Tottenham have now reportedly launched their an offer to sign Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi, with the news coming days after West Ham made their own bid for the 29-year-old.

According to Corriere della Sera, the north London side have submitted a loan offer with an option to buy for Malinovskyi, with Antonio Conte a big fan of the Ukrainian international as Tottenham now look to beat West Ham to the midfielder’s signature.

CalcioMercato recently reported that West Ham have made a bid of their own for Malinovskyi, with Atalanta expected to offload the midfielder this month with interest ramping up in the past few days for the Serie A superstar.

Lauded as ‘extraordinary’ by Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini, Malinovskyi would be quite the coup for Tottenham or West Ham this month, with the London clubs both keen on signing a quality midfielder to add to their ranks this January.

Indeed, whilst Malinovskyi has hardly played for Atalanta this season, there’s no denying the midfielder’s talents, with a change of scenery to the Premier League something that could inspire the former KRC Genk superstar to elevate his game to another level.

And with Tottenham now making an offer to sign the midfielder, Malinovskyi has a decision to make on whether or not to sign for Conte’s Spurs or West Ham, with a move to north London seemingly the more ideal destination for the Ukrainian international.

Considering West Ham’s form this season, losing out to the Hammers for a player like Malinovskyi would be quite the blow for Tottenham, which is Spurs have to ensure that their bid to sign the midfielder is as strong as possible.

After all, Malinovskyi would be exceptional addition to Tottenham’s squad this month, and West Ham beating Conte to the midfielder’s signature would be seen by many as quite a failure on Spurs’ part, with a loss in the market the last thing Daniel Levy wants.
