Tottenham have reportedly entered the fray to sign Universidad de Chile wonderkid Dario Osorio, with Aston Villa also keeping tabs on the 19-year-old winger.
According to Las Ultimas Noticias via Sport Witness, the north London club have joined the growing list of clubs interested in signing Osorio, though there is little expectation for the attacker to leave Chile this January, with a summer move currently more likely for the teenage attacker.
A Chilean international already, Osorio is regarded by many as one of South America’s most exciting talents, with El Cancha recently reporting that Wolves had come close to securing a £7m deal to bring the forward to the Premier League earlier in the year.
Likened to Tottenham legend Gareth Bale by former Universidad goalkeeper Johnny Herrera, the hype is certainly real for Osorio. And 2023 is expected to be the year the youngster finally makes the move to Europe, with Tottenham interested in the right-sided attacker.

Indeed, any player likened to Bale is immediately going to attract attention from Tottenham, and whilst a January move for Osorio won’t happen this month, Spurs would be smart to look into signing the teenage winger in the summer transfer window.
With Dejan Kulusevski’s future at Tottenham now up in the air, there could be a place in the market for the north London club to sign Osorio, who would be both a good option for Antonio Conte for next season as well as the future years.
Tottenham have to ensure they win race to sign Osorio

Tottenham’s transfers in the last 18 months have been hit-and-miss, to say the least. Yet whilst there are some concerns with signing Osorio, the thought of bringing in a South American wonderkid is one that no Spurs supporter will turn down if given the chance.
And this is why the north London side must ensure they do all they can to sign Osorio, who has the potential to become one of the best forwards in world football if Tottenham can give the youngster the time needed to develop in the Premier League and to grow into a top player.
