Tottenham are reportedly still interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, with a summer move for the England international potentially on the cards for Spurs.
According to Football London, the north London side remain ‘big admirers’ of the 22-year-old talent, with Tottenham already making it clear that a young central defender is their priority for the summer transfer market, with the likes of Alessandro Bastoni and Piero Hincapie also being targeted.
Guehi has been one of Palace’s best players since joining the south London side in 2021 from Chelsea for a reported £18m, and with the defender now a regular in Gareth Southgate’s England squads, it is only natural that a top Premier League side now wants to sign the Ivory Coast-born centre-back.
And with Tottenham now laying out their transfer plans for the summer, Guehi could be a realistic target for Antonio Conte’s side, with the defender someone who could flourish under the Italian manager and develop into one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
Indeed, Guehi himself could also be keen on a move, with a transfer to a top-six Premier League side something that could further the youngster’s international career as well as see the defender test himself in European competitions such as the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League.
And with Tottenham already laying down plans to sign a young defender at the end of this season, Guehi could be a perfect candidate given the centre-back’s experience in the Premier League and the potential asking price Palace will ask for compared to the likes of Bastoni and Hincapie.

Guehi’s form might have been up and down this season, but there’s no denying that the former Chelsea academy product has the potential to become a defensive superstar in the Premier League, with Tottenham an ideal next step for the Palace centre-back.
With Spurs also expecting to go big on a young centre-back to build their future around, Guehi ticks a lot of boxes for what Conte will want in a starting defender, with the player himself potentially tempted to move to north London after two seasons at Palace.
