Tottenham Hotspur have been showing an interest in Crotone striker Simy – but he now looks set to sign for Mallorca instead.
That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that the deal could be agreed and boxed off later on Wednesday.
It’s stated that Mallorca have offered €3.5million (£3million) for Simy, and have signalled their intention to reach a final agreement within a matter of hours.
Simy allegedly had offers from Lazio, Salernitana and from Championship clubs, but Mallorca look to be nearing a deal.
Last week, The Telegraph reported that Fabio Paratici was looking towards Simy as a cheap striker addition behind Harry Kane.
You have to imagine that, if Tottenham had made a concrete move for the Nigerian, then they would have easily beaten the likes of Mallorca and Salernitana.

Simy, 29, hit 20 goals in Serie A last season having scored 20 times in Serie B the previous season, becoming an absolute goal machine for Crotone.
A giant at 6ft 6in tall, Simy isn’t a big name but has proven his quality in front of goal over the last couple of years.
Paratici may have had a look, but Tottenham will now miss out with Mallorca set to close the deal imminently.
