Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane this summer, with Bayern Munich already chasing the England captain.
According to Sport Bild, the reigning UEFA Champions League holders have identified Kane as a potential target at the end of this season, with the 29-year-old Tottenham superstar a potential replacement for Karim Benzema, whose contract expires this year.
With a reported wage of £200,000-a-week, Kane is Tottenham’s highest-paid player and could well leave north London this year if Spurs are once again unsuccessful in their quest to end their 15-year trophy drought, with Antonio Conte’s side still in the FA Cup.
Two goals off becoming Tottenham’s greatest-ever goalscorer, Kane is yet to win anything with the north London club despite a sensational individual career with the Premier League side, and another trophyless season could tempt the striker to swap England for Spain.

Indeed, if Benzema is to leave Madrid, Kane would be the perfect replacement for the reigning Ballon d’Or holder, with the England talisman one of the few forwards in world football who could emulate the Frenchman’s impact for Los Blancos.
However, much has to happen before Madrid can even think about signing Kane. And even if a bid is tabled in the summer, there’s still a strong chance the Tottenham star could reject to see out his prime with Spurs, something that would be quite extraordinary.
Real Madrid must sign Harry Kane if Karim Benzema leaves

Many fans and pundits have criticised Kane’s love for Tottenham, with the decision to remain at Spurs denying the attacker any real shot at winning silverware despite his sensational individual career in the Premier League. And Benzema leaving Madrid could be what puts the Spanish giants into motion.
After all, replacing a player as influential and as good as Benzema will be near-impossible for Madrid. However, Kane would be as good as Los Blancos could get the in market, with a strong enough offer likely enough to tempt the forward away from north London for the final and best years of his career.
