RB Leipzig have reportedly made LOSC Lille attacker Jonathan David their top target for the summer transfer window, with Tottenham also interested in signing the Canadian international.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the UEFA Champions League side are heavily interested in the Ligue 1 sensation, who this season is leading the French scoring charts with 15 goals, more than the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun.

With a transfer valuation of €50m (£44m) according to Florian Plettenberg, David is regarded by many as one of the most exciting attackers in world football with Dean Jones reporting that Tottenham are also interested in the Canadian, who could be viewed as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.
Indeed, with David long linked with a move away from Lille, this summer is shaping up to be the window where the Brooklyn-born striker could finally make the leap, though Tottenham could now miss out on signing the forward to Leipzig in the coming months.
With Christopher Nkunku joining Chelsea, a replacement is needed for the east German side, and David could be the perfect option for Leipzig, with the Bundesliga giants have the money needed to sign the Canadian international ahead of Tottenham.
Leipzig signing David could be one of the best transfers of the summer

David’s ability to thrive as both a leading striker and behind the main man is a skill that very few forwards possess, and given that Nkunku plays a similar role for Leipzig, there’s a good chance that the Canadian heading to Tottenham’s European rivals could be one of the best deals of the window.
Still only 23-years-old and perfectly suited to both Leipzig and the Bundesliga, David could be another sensational purchase for Marco Rose’s side, who could soon be about to sign their dream replacement for Nkunku ahead of his transfer to Chelsea in the summer.
