Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a bid for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya in the January transfer window, according to The Times.
Tottenham considering bid for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya
The report has claimed that Tottenham have already asked Brentford about Raya this month.
The Bees have told Spurs that they will not sell the Spanish goalkeeper in the January transfer window.
However, according to the report, Raya will have one more year left on his contract at Brentford after the end of this season.
So, Tottenham are considering making a bid for the 27-year-old goalkeeper, described as “really brave with his high line” by Brentford manager Thomas Frank on the club’s official website in October 2020.
Spurs have reportedly identified Raya as a long-term successor to Hugo Lloris.

Spurs should bid now
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should make a bid for David Raya now.
Yes, Brentford may not be willing to sell the Spain international goalkeeper in the January transfer window, but money talks.
Tottenham should make an offer to Brentford and then see where it takes them.
There is no harm whatsoever in doing that.
Raya himself could be tempted to leave Brentford and join a Tottenham team who are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and have also qualified for the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League.
