According to a report from Sunday’s print edition of Spanish newspaper Marca – later posted online by Sport Witness – Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez may no longer return to his parent club following the international break, with a move to Tottenham Hotspur still on the cards.

The 23-year-old has been tipped to move to Spurs for much of the summer, and the latest claim from his homeland suggests he could have a new club in the coming days, after he joined up with the Spain under-21 side, suggesting he has played his last match for the La Liga club.

Isco celebrates scoring for Real Madrid

In other news, the Mirror claims Tottenham are planning a loan move for Real Madrid play-maker Isco.

The 24-year-old is allegedly set for the Bernabeu exit as Real attempt to lessen their wage bill and Tottenham are said to be heading the queue for his signature, with a permanent move likely next summer if the player impresses in the interim.

Of course he has to join on loan first, but this is a deal to be celebrated by the Tottenham faithful if it does get over the line in the days ahead.

Manchester City's Eliaquim Mangala looks dejected

And finally, according to French newspaper L’Equipe and translated by Get French Football News, Tottenham have made contact with Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala with the centre-back responding well to the approach.

This would be a strange deal given the presence of Kevin Wimmer as a more than able back-up at White Hart Lane, so it could be one to take with a pinch of salt, especially with Eric Dier and Cameron Carter-Vickers also on the club’s books.
