Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla has told Sport Italia that Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie is waiting for a move to Inter Milan this month – amid reports Tottenham have tabled an offer this month, while Newcastle are being linked.
Kessie, 26, joined Barcelona in the summer from Inter’s rivals AC Milan. That is, after starring with the Rossoneri after clocking up 223 appearances – winning the 2021-22 Serie A title. At the Nou Camp, Kessie is struggling for game time.
He has managed just six starts this season for Barcelona, and only 17 appearances in all competitions alone. Kessie is keen to go. Onda Cero reporter Alfredo Martinez told Radioestadio Noche that Spurs have tabled an offer worth £13m.
More recently, The Mail report that Newcastle scouts have advised the Toon to make a move. Bruno Guimaraes has joined Jonjo Shelvey on the sidelines. Italian reporter Pedulla, though, claims Kessie is waiting for a move to Inter Milan.
“Kessiè is waiting for Inter, he has two other proposals, one from the Premier League. The exchange has the possibility of going through. If it were to materialize, he would gladly return to Milan on another bank,” Pedulla reported.

Pedulla: Kessie waiting for Inter amid Tottenham and Newcastle reports
Newcastle’s injury woes have been worsened by Guimaraes going down against Fulham with a knock to his ankle. The noise surrounding the blow are positive ones, but it might be a few weeks before he returns to action, for the Toon.
Shelvey remains sidelined, meaning Newcastle are light in midfield. If the Toon could land £69k-a-week Kessie on loan with an option to buy the Ivory Coast star, it might be ideal. Spurs, really, do not need Kessie in the coming fortnight.
Pape Matar Sarr has shown he can be trusted. It means Spurs have five options for two positions – Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, Yves Bissouma and Sarr. Newcastle need Kessie more than Spurs this month.
