Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has said that star striker Victor Osimhen will not leave the club despite rumoured interest from the likes of Tottenham in the Nigerian superstar.
Speaking to Bild via TuttoMercatoWeb, the Serie A official claimed that Napoli are in a strong financial position, meaning that Osimhen will not leave despite recent interest. De Laurentiis said: “Osimhen is not for sale. Our players are in demand, but in my opinion, I don’t have to sell anyone. We have no debts.”
Osimhen has been one of the best strikers in Europe this season and currently leads the Italian scoring charts with 16 goals, with Napoli flying in Serie A as the Neopolitan side look on course to claim their first Scudetto since the days of Diego Maradona.
As a result of Osimhen’s immense form, though, Premier League interest has of course reared its head, with Rudy Galetti reporting that Tottenham are eyeing the Nigerian striker as a potential replacement for Harry Kane, who could be set to leave north London in the summer amid links to Manchester United.

Indeed, with a valuation of £100m, Osimhen would be an incredible statement signing for Tottenham. However, with Napoli once again stating that the forward is not for sale and will not be leaving, there’s every chance that Spurs will miss out on the 24-year-old sensation.
Moreover, with Kane showing no concrete sign of leaving Tottenham in the summer, a move for Osimhen will be deemed by many as pointless unless the England captain leaves for a major transfer fee, something that Daniel levy will be fighting hard to avoid once again.
Osimhen will only leave Napoli for an astronomical transfer fee

Osimhen had always looked like he would leave Napoli for a huge transfer fee. Yet with the striker hitting new heights this season, it could take a British record to prize De Laurentiis from his star asset, something Tottenham will struggle to offer unless Kane is sold.
With Napoli on course to win the title and to go deep in the UEFA Champions League, Osimhen himself also has little reason to leave Naples for Tottenham, who are unlikely to win silverware this season and could even miss out on top-four.
