Napoli have reportedly alerted Tottenham that they are willing to sign Tanguy Ndombele on a permanent deal if they win the Serie A title come to the end of the season.

According to CalcioNapoli24, the Italian giants believe they will have the funds to bring in the 26-year-old for good if Napoli secure the Scudetto, a situation that seems to be a matter of ‘when’ it happens rather than ‘if’ as Luciano Spalletti’s side currently lead the table by 18 points.

Whilst Ndombele hasn’t featured too much for Napoli, the Frenchman has impressed in southern Italy in his limited minutes for the club, and with Tottenham keen to sell the midfielder for good, it makes sense why Napoli are now exploring the option to buy the former Olympique Lyonnais star permanently.

Whilst Tottenham won’t recoup anything close to what the north London side paid to sign Ndombele back in 2019, getting the midfielder off their books will be a great long-term move for the club and one that Spurs arguably should have done at the start of the season.

Indeed, Napoli and numerous other clubs were keen on signing Ndombele, yet as we know with Tottenham and Daniel Levy, Spurs’ financial expectations were well above what the midfielder was actually worth. And this summer could see the 26-year-old finally leave for cheap.

And that club could well be Napoli, with the Serie A side already setting their stance on Ndombele based around a very achievable goal in winning the league title, with the midfielder seemingly keen on staying in Italy with the future Scudetto champions.

Having impressed at Napoli this season, it will only make sense that the Partenopei now want to sign Ndombele for good, and with Tottenham having no real reason to keep hold of the midfielder, a deal in the summer would make a lot of sense between the two sides.

With Napoli already best positioned to sign Ndombele given his loan status at the club, a permanent deal could be completed before the summer window even opens, something that might benefit Tottenham ahead of the transfer market.
