Italian website AS Roma Live claim Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita wants a wage of £125k a week at his next club amid reports that both Tottenham and Jose Mourinho’s Roma are keen on landing the Anfield player in the next few months.
Keita, 27, has been poor at Anfield. Joining the club from Leipzig in the summer of 2018, Keita has clocked up just 127 games for Liverpool. Injury has limited his progress at Liverpool. This term, Keita has only played 11 times for the Reds.
The 50-time Guinea man is out of contract at the end of the season, though. 90Min state that talks are ongoing with Liverpool and Keita, but they are not at a latter stage. Keita is now fielding offers from big European clubs – like Spurs.
A number of Premier League sides are keen, with Spurs considering an offer. Meanwhile, Monaco, Lyon, Milan and Inter are also interested in Keita. AS Roma Live have since reported that Mourinho wants to lure him to his Roma side.
However, the report states that any interested parties would have to meet his massive wage demands. A dizzying figure of £125,000 a week. Keita is able to request such a figure given he would be joining any new clubs on a free.

Couple of issues with this. Keita, in his time at Liverpool, has not proven he is worth such a massive figure, almost £7m a year. Secondly, Spotrac say Keita would be Tottenham’s fifth highest-paid player – not including Clement Lenglet.
Only Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Ivan Perisic and Cristian Romero would be above Keita. Hugo Lloris, Deki Kulusevski and Richarlison would be below Keita. Other Spurs players would want a pay rise if Keita signs on at Spurs this summer.
