Italian outlet CM claim Jose Mourinho could request Tottenham attacker Lucas Moura in a deal for Nicolo Zaniolo in the next week – with Zaniolo set to leave, but Mourinho very keen to replace the Roma attacker if he does depart.
Spurs are very interested in 23-year-old Zaniolo and Rudy Galetti claims Zaniolo has agreed personal terms with the London club. Other reports say that Zaniolo wants to remain in Italy with Serie A champions Milan pushing to sign him.
But Spurs want to sign Zaniolo on a loan-to-buy deal. 90Min say that Spurs would only include an obligation to buy Zaniolo if they qualify for the Champions League. Roma are keen to sell Zaniolo. A permanent deal, or an obligation.
Regardless of where Zaniolo goes, Mourinho wants to replace the attacker. A player that had a hand in 17 goals last term, and scored the winner in the Europa Conference League final. Roma’s first-ever European competition trophy.

The CM report claims that Mourinho could actually request a reunion with Moura. The Brazil star is out of contract at the end of the season. Mourinho could include Moura in a deal to sign Zaniolo. Christian Eriksen said he is “wonderful”.

Moura needs a move. He is not going to play much between now and the end of the season. Deki Kulusevski and Son Heung-min are first choice, either side of Harry Kane. Richarlison is first in reserve, able to play anywhere in attack.
So, Moura is some way down the pecking order. Bryan Gil, too. Of course, Spurs are in the Champions League and remain in the FA Cup so they will need to rotate. Moura’s form has dipped. If Roma want him, Spurs should use him.
