Dejan Kulusevski has no future at Tottenham Hotspur with the Premier League outfit opting against a permanent transfer. So the Juventus loanee now faces a key decision.

That is according to CalcioMercatoWeb, which reports that Spurs do not plan to redeem an option to buy Kulusevski. The north London natives have lost confidence in the 23-year-old following his drop-off in form this season. So, they intend to send the Swede back to Turin.

Kulusevski joined Tottenham in an 18-month loan from Juventus in January 2022 for £8.5m with a £29m permanent transfer option. He started promisingly alongside Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min under Antonio Conte. But the forward has failed to maintain his creativity.

Tottenham make their decision on Kulusevski’s permanent transfer

As the 2022/23 campaign and his loan near an end, Kulusevski has only offered Tottenham two goals and seven assists. His output over 35 appearances across all competitions is less than the 29-cap winger offered last term. He scored five and created eight from 20 games.

So, Tottenham do not plan to make Kulusevski’s loan from Juventus a permanent transfer. But the attacker faces a key decision over his future with the Bianconeri also not keen on having him. Allianz Stadium chiefs are open to seeing the forward leave over the summer.

Kulusevski, who Conte called an ‘excellent investment for Tottenham’ in October 2022, is a bit of a problem for Juventus. His contract at the Serie A side only runs until June 2024. So, Bianconeri chiefs will happily move him on. But AC Milan are not able to secure a deal yet.

Spurs leave Kulusevski in limbo as AC Milan eye a raid on Juventus

Tottenham letting Kulusevski go interests AC Milan but the Rossoneri would need Juventus to accept another loan-to-buy transfer. The San Siro side may offer their Serie A rival a loan that carries an obligation based on securing qualification for the 24/25 Champions League.

But AC Milan also need Kulusevski to agree to extend his contract with Juventus first if they are to secure a loan transfer. So, Tottenham deciding that Kulusevski has no future in north London leaves the Juventus loanee with a key decision of his own with AC Milan interested.
