Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a bid for Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries in the final two days of the January transfer window, according to CMW.

Tottenham could now move for Denzel Dumfries

Tottenham have reportedly identified Dumfries after the North London club failed to sign Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon.

The Athletic have claimed that Sporting have changed the terms of a deal for Porro, who is now not going to move to Tottenham this month.

CMW have reported that Tottenham are now focusing on bringing Dumfries to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Premier League club are reportedly willing to offer Davinson Sanchez to Antonio Conte’s former club Inter to get a deal done.

Good plan from Spurs

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur’s plan to sign Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan by using Davinson Sanchez is a good one.

Dumfries is a very good player who can operate as a right-back, right wing-back or centre-back.

And the Netherlands international is more experienced and better than Porro.

The 26-year-old played well for the Netherlands at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and would be a good signing for Tottenham.

Sanchez is essentially a squad player at Spurs now.

So, Spurs would not really miss the Colombian centre-back if he left now.

The big question is whether former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners Inter will accept such a deal.
