Nottingham Forest are reportedly plotting a scheme to sign rumoured Tottenham target Ismaila Sarr by offering Watford their former attacker Emmanuel Dennis in an ambitious swap deal.
According to the Mirror, the newly-promoted Premier League side are weighing up the idea of offering their summer signing back to his former club in exchange for Sarr, who has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League in recent months.
Football London report that Sarr is on Tottenham’s radar, with Watford set to demand a hefty transfer fee for Sarr to recoup as much of the £40m the Hornets paid to sign the attacker back in 2019 from Stade Rennais in a club-record deal.
With Aston Villa also heavily interested in signing Sarr as reported by Birmingham Live, interest in the Senegal international is high, which could make Forest’s attempt to bring the winger to the City Ground quite a mission.

Indeed, Forest are expected to spend big yet again this month following last summer’s historic window of new arrivals. And Sarr could be a great addition for Steve Cooper’s side, especially if a swap deal involving Dennis can be reached between the two clubs.
Interest from Tottenham, though, will be a major road block for Forest, with the north London side also keen to add a new attacker to their ranks this month. And whilst Sarr might not be the first name on Spurs fans’ list, Antonio Conte is seemingly an admirer of the Watford star.
Forest signing Sarr in Dennis swap deal would be a sensational move

With Forest making as many signings as they did in the summer, it was clear that some were going to be flops, with Dennis looking like the biggest of the lot despite the attacker’s quality and impressive record in the Premier League. However, a swap deal for Sarr would be nothing short of incredible.
After all, the Watford winger is a Premier League-proven talent with plenty of potential to become even better. And for Forest, offloading a player who hasn’t fit in whilst also signing someone as good as Sarr would be a great piece of business, much to the dismay of Tottenham.
