Wojciech Szczesny has reportedly been told by Juventus that he can leave the club this summer, with the Polish international already attracting interest from Tottenham.
According to CalcioMercato, the former Arsenal goalkeeper is set to leave Turin at the end of this season as Juventus look to refresh their goalkeeping options for the new campaign, with Tottenham, incredibly, interested in signing Szczesny despite his links to the Gunners.
The 32-year-old is an infamous Arsenal supporter who has never been afraid to take jabs at Tottenham following on from their misfortunes on the pitch, yet Spurs now look like the early favourites to sign Szczesny as the keeper looks set to depart Juventus.
With Tottenham in the market for a new goalkeeper, Szczesny would be a perfect option for Antonio Conte’s side given his impressive record with Juventus and his status as one of the best in Europe between the sticks. However, a transfer could be near-impossible to complete due to the shot-stopper’s Arsenal allegiances.

Indeed, Szczesny spent 11 years at Arsenal, making 181 appearances for the club and helping Arsene Wenger’s side to two FA Cup triumphs as well as numerous top-four finishes, and whilst such trivial matters should not matter in a transfer sense, they certainly do here for Tottenham.
With Szczesny set to leave Juventus, though, the Poland no. 1 might find options limited in the market. Though given how good the keeper is, Tottenham are unlikely to be the only side interested in signing the 32-year-old come the summer transfer window.
Tottenham will fail to sign Szczesny should he leave Juventus this summer

Loyalty is a hard thing to find in football these days, yet in the case of Szczesny and Arsenal, the former Emirates Stadium hero seems to have a deep-rooted affection for the red side of north London, which could make any potential transfer to Tottenham near-impossible.
Although Szczesny could thrive in the Premier League and would be a great fit for Tottenham, the keeper’s links to Arsenal simply make a deal too hard to pull off, with the Polish international fully aware that he can win a move to another top European club come the summer window.
