Tottenham Hotspur may find it difficult to meet the wage demands of Southampton striker Danny Ings this summer as they eye up a new goalscorer.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that Tottenham are eyeing up strikers with Harry Kane’s future very unclear as things stand.
Kane hasn’t shown up for training two days in a row now, meaning Fabio Paratici would need to have potential striker signings lined up.
The report notes that Tottenham want Fiorentina hitman Dusan Vlahovic, but the plan was for him to compete with Kane – and the same goes for Ings.
However, the problem with Ings is that his ‘contract demands may be deemed too high’ as he considers leaving Southampton.
Ings is inside the final year of his contract at Southampton and seemingly fancies moving on, sensing a last major chance to make a big move.

Ings is now 29, and after 46 goals in 100 games for the Saints, he is now a wanted man.
The former Liverpool striker is thought to be earning around £75,000-a-week at Southampton, and if he wants double that, or even around £125,000-a-week, that could be beyond Tottenham.
They won’t want to give big wages to a player approaching his 30’s, and that could see Ings miss out on a move to Tottenham – no matter what happens with Kane.
