Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte wants to offer Japhet Tanganga to Juventus to seal the transfer of Dusan Vlahovic. The Italian tactician is readying a player-plus-cash proposal.
That is according to CalcioMercatoWeb, which reports Conte views Vlahovic as the perfect heir to Harry Kane. Spurs are increasingly fearful that the England captain will look to leave north London this summer. So, Conte is determined to snap up his best replacement soon.
Juventus are not intent on selling Vlahovic yet having paid Fiorentina €70m (£61m), rising €10m (£9m) in add-ons, to sign the Serbian last January. But the 22-year-old’s displays are yet to flatter the Allianz Stadium hierarchy, who will listen to offers that give a solid profit.

Tottenham are ready to offer Tanganga to Juventus for the transfer of Vlahovic
Bianconeri chiefs now value the striker at €100-110m (£88-96.5m), which is enough to put most suitors out of contention. But Conte hopes to see Vlahovic become a Tottenham star in a player-plus-cash transfer from Juventus involving Tanganga. Yet it may not be enough.
Spurs value Tanganga, who has previously been on the Bianconeri’s shopping list, at €30m (£26.5m). Tottenham are prepared to put a further €50m (£44m) on the table with the 23-year-old’s services, too. But Juventus deem the cash aspect of their offer to be insufficient.

Arsenal are currently on pole position to secure a swoop for the Serbia striker
Juventus would want Tottenham to pay a much higher fee, alongside sending Tanganga to Turin, for Vlahovic’s transfer. The 19-cap attacker is under contract at the Serie A side until 2026 on a £215k-a-week contract. He has also scored seven goals in 15 games this term.
Conte is considering Tanganga’s future as the centre-back has only played in three games this term. The Spurs product has also only played for 174 minutes across all competitions. Just one of his appearances for 67 minutes so far this term was also in the Premier League.

But Tottenham’s Tanganga-plus-cash proposal falls £17.5m to £26m below Juventus’ price tag for Vlahovic’s transfer. He is also a target of Spurs’ north London rivals, Arsenal, during January. CalcioMercatoWeb has also claimed the Gunners are ready to pay €100m (£88m).
Arsenal’s willingness to pay a club-record fee for the forward put Mikel Arteta’s squad on pole position for a deal. But Conte appreciates what Vlahovic – who Juventus icon Alessio Tacchinardi called ‘extraordinary’ – could offer Tottenham with any transfer for the striker.
