CBS journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that Chelsea are now interested in signing David Raya, who has been linked with a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
According to a report by 90 Min in November, Tottenham had shortlisted Raya as one of their potential goalkeeper signings.
The Brentford ace proved once again in his side’s 3-1 win against Liverpool why he would be ideal to replace the declining Hugo Lloris.
For starters, the Tottenham-linked goalkeeper was typically brilliant with the ball at his feet.
David Raya also showcased that he is an extremely proactive No.1, as he was extremely swift off his line at all times.
The same cannot be said for Hugo Lloris, whose profile has become outdated in today’s game and to make matters worse, he has been riddled with errors for years on end now.
However, Tottenham seem to have a fresh competitor in Chelsea in the race to sign Raya.
A new update breaks down the latest transfer speculation surrounding the £25,000-a-week man.
Chelsea are now keen on Tottenham-linked David Raya

CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has said that Chelsea are also interested in signing Tottenham-linked goalkeeper David Raya in the summer.
“I think Chelsea have a few other goalkeepers in mind. Not a January priority. They like [Jordan] Pickford and [David] Raya”, Jacobs replied on Twitter.
Spurs need to win Raya race
For a couple of years now, Tottenham have needed to replace Hugo Lloris and there are not many better successors than David Raya in the market.
However, the same looks to be the case for Graham Potter’s side, as Edouard Mendy’s stock has plummeted since last season.
With a brand-new goalkeeper being one of the top priorities for Tottenham, they must find a way to beat Chelsea in the quest to sign one of the most complete No.1’s in the league in Raya.
