Hakan Calhanoglu is now set to reject any potential transfer to Tottenham Hotspur to sign a new contract with Inter Milan. The Turkey maestro is also of interest to Manchester United.
That is according to Calciomercato, which reports Calhanoglu is very close to an agreement with Inter Milan on fresh terms. San Siro chairman Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio deemed the 29-year-old’s future as a priority to recognise his role at the club.
Now, Calhanoglu is close to putting pen to paper on a new four-year deal with the Serie A side. Inter Milan were loath to risk the 75-cap playmaker departing with his existing terms ending in June 2024. So, Marotta and Ausilio had no doubts in tabling a lucrative contract.

Inter Milan have offered Calhanoglu a new contract that can reach €6m-a-season (£101k-a/w) after bonuses. The midfielder appreciated their proposal and has agreed to commit to the Nerazzurri. All that remains is now for the San Siro natives to announce his contract.
Marotta and Ausilio have made a big commitment to retain Calhanoglu as they adore how he has performed in a deeper role usually occupied by Marcelo Brozovic. The Turkey star is thriving from Simone Inzaghi’s engine room while remaining a creative presence this term.

Calhanoglu is to snub a transfer to Tottenham for a new contract at Inter Milan
Calhanoglu has offered three goals and six assists over 30 appearances in all competitions so far this season. But his efforts have also attracted interest from elsewhere ahead of the Mannheim, Germany-born playmaker entering the last year of his existing deal at San Siro.
Reports by CalcioMercatoWeb note that Tottenham and Manchester United have eyes on a transfer from Inter Milan for Calhanoglu. Spurs and the Red Devils have explored swoops upon the requests of Antonio Conte and Erik ten Hag as they seek creative reinforcements.
While CalcioMercatoWeb also reports that Atletico Madrid are keen on Calhanoglu. The La Liga outfit have even considered offering Thomas Lemar to the Serie A side in exchange for the midfielder. Yet he has now given Marotta and Ausilio his word to sign a new contract.
