Inter Milan are reportedly interested in Bayern Munich defender and former Arsenal target Noussair Mazraoui as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who Tottenham are keen to sign.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side are looking at their options to replace the Dutch international in the summer, with Dumfries expected to leave Inter with interest currently high in the right-back, namely from the Premier League, where Tottenham have been noted as an interested party according to CalcioMercatoWeb.

As per the report, Inter are now keen on signing Mazraoui as a replacement for Dumfries, with the Moroccan international making little impact at Bayern since joining the Bundesliga giants in the summer, snubbing the likes of Arsenal as reported by ESPN.

Whilst Mazraoui impressed in Qatar for the Atlas Lions in their historic run to the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finals, the right-back has failed to make much of anything since moving to Bavaria in the summer, with a move to Inter now being touted for the former Ajax star.

Indeed, with Dumfries expected to leave, who Inter value at £34m according to Fabrizio Romano, signing Mazraoui as the Dutchman’s replacement could be an excellent deal for the Nerazzurri, though it would be one that could anger Arsenal given their previous interest in the right-back.

With Tottenham also one of the leading clubs to sign Dumfries, Arsenal could be hit with a one-two punch that will see a former target head to a European rival whilst also seeing their north London enemies gain a top fullback in the Netherlands international.

Arsenal are currently well-stocked for right-back options with Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu, yet Inter signing Mazraoui one year after strong links to the Gunners will feel like a blow for the north London side, who could have been an ideal side for the defender.

Whilst Mazraoui could flourish at Inter, the defender could have also impressed at Arsenal, with the right-back an ideal replacement for the likes of White and Tomiyasu in the squad, as well as another winner during his years with Ajax.
