Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are competing with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for the signing of Elye Wahi from Montpellier, according to FootMercato.

The report in the French news outlet has claimed that Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City all are keen on the 20-year-old forward.

Former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners Juventus have also been credited with interest in the France Under-19 international.

According to the report, Arsenal have been monitoring the young forward for several months, while their North London rivals Tottenham have recently watched him in action in person.

Montpellier do not plan to sell Wahi in the January transfer window, and the forward himself does not plan on leaving in the middle of the season.

Stats

Elye Wahi is one of the best forwards in Ligue 1, and there is no surprise that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs who have been scouting him and have taken interest in him.

According to FootMercato, the youngster has become only the second player after Kylian Mbappe in the last 40 years to score 20 goals in Ligue 1 before his 20th birthday.

The Frenchman has scored seven goals and given one assist in 18 Ligue 1 matches so far this season.

The Montpellier forward scored 10 goals and gave two assists in the league last season.
