AC Milan are reportedly already looking at signing Nicolo Zaniolo in the summer despite the forward only recently snubbing a move to Tottenham to join Galatasaray.
According to CalcioMercato, the 23-year-old attacker is still wanted by Milan as the Rossoneri look to make a move for Zaniolo if the youngster impresses in Turkey before the end of the season, with the Serie A side believed to be the forward’s preferred club.
Milan looked to sign Zaniolo in January but were unable to match AS Roma’s demands for their star talent, with Tottenham also seemingly being snubbed by the Italian international having agreed personal terms for the talisman as reported by journalist Rudy Galetti.
As a result, Galatasaray were the surprise club who ended up signing Zaniolo, with the extended Turkish transfer window allowing the Super Lig side to swoop in after the western European January market had closed to win the 23-year-old’s signature.

Indeed, with Roma eager to sell, a €15m (£12m) deal was agreed with Galatasaray for Zaniolo, though the deal did include a release clause that could easily be activated in the summer, something that both Milan and Tottenham could look to trigger if the forward impresses in Istanbul.
And as per the report, this is what Milan are hopeful Zaniolo will manage to do just that in the remaining three months of the Turkish league season, with Galatasaray currently leading the division and set for a return to the UEFA Champions League, which could unlock the best in the Italian.
AC Milan signing Zaniolo could be a huge blow for Tottenham

Zaniolo has been linked with a move to Tottenham for what feels like forever, and with Spurs missing out on the former Roma star to Galatasaray of all clubs, Milan again beating the north London side to the youngster in the summer would be another huge blow for Antonio Conte.
As we know, the forward’s release clause could be triggered in the summer if Zaniolo impresses between now and the end of the season. And with Milan already making moves and scheming to sign the Italian, Tottenham could again miss out on the youngster in the coming months.
