A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur…
According to a report from the Express & Star, West Bromwich Albion have turned their attention to Manchester United defender Jonny Evans after their move for Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Federico Fazio stalled over personal terms.
The Argentine passed a medical on Friday after the Baggies and Spurs had allegedly agreed a £5million transfer fee, but Fazio is said to have failed to agree the terms of his potential contract at The Hawthorns and as a result the move has been put on hold.
West Brom are now said to be considering alternatives although the paper claims they could still sign the Tottenham player and are looking into a possible loan deal rather than a permanent move.
In other news, ESPN reports that alleged Tottenham target Alexandre Pato favours a move to England.
The television broadcaster Sky Italia claimed last week that Tottenham were interested in signing the 25-year-old, with that story later put into print by Italian website TMW.
But while ESPN claim the player wants a stab at the Premier League, Spurs are not mentioned, with Stoke City and Sunderland allegedly considering moves for the Corinthians forward.
