Tottenham Hotspur are embarking on their second season under Ange Postecoglou after the Australian guided the Lilywhites to a fifth place finish in the Premier League.

After a good start at the club for Ange Postecoglou, the injury problems plagued the club which meant they were without their key players and the results plateaued in the second half of the campaign. A key summer of recruitment is needed for the club.

Here are four players who have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur over the past week.

Dean Huijsen

Starting off the list is Juventus central defender Dean Huijsen, who had a very promising loan spell at AS Roma during the second half of last season.

HITC reported last week that the Dutchman was attracting interest from a host of top level Premier League clubs and Spurs were one of the names mentioned.

Huijsen impressed in Rome and a move away from Turin could be on the cards but it is unclear how the Dutchman will fit into new Juve boss Thiago Motta’s plans.

Conor Gallagher

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been linked with a move to North London for a long time with HITC reporting just two weeks ago that there has been interest from the Lilywhites in the midfielder as well as Trevoh Chalobah.

The future of the English midfieder is uncertain with the Chelsea academy graduate entering the final 12 months of his current deal and there being little prospect of Gallagher renewing at Stamford Bridge.

A report from The Athletic has detailed how both the Spurs recruitment team like the midfielder, as well as Postecoglou, who is keen on adding a player in the middle of the park to his ranks.

Alexander Isak

A surprise name who has been linked with a move to North London is Swedish striker Alexander Isak, who has made quite the impact in the Premier League since his move to Newcastle United in 2022.

That same report from The Athletic details that there is indeed admiration from those at Tottenham for the former Real Sociedad centre-forward but Newcastle will not countenance the sale of such a key player.

it would certainly not be a cheap deal to pull off but with the Geordie side missing out on European football altogether, following Manchester United’s FA Cup win, it certainly could be one to keep an eye on.

Semih Kilicsoy

The final name on our list is Besiktas’s wonderkid Semih Kilicsoy. Kilicsoy has attracted the interest of multiple Premier League clubs, including Tottenham. HITC reported last week that there has been interest from the big hitters in England.

However, the Lilywhites aren’t the only London club who are keen with Arsenal also understood to hold an interest. We reported last week that Arsenal and Manchester City were leading the race for the striker who was described as a ‘special talent’ by a leading agent for one of these top clubs.

A new centre-forward could be a key signing for Spurs this summer and Kilicsoy is one name who would fit the bill of a young and promising forward but it seems the two teams who battled it out for the league title last season are the favourites for the teenager’s signature.
