Stan Collymore has suggested on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will be worried about Richarlison asking for a new contract following his heroics for Brazil against Serbia at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Richarlison, who joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer of 2022 for £50 million (Goal), scored both goals for Brazil in their opening World Cup match against Serbia on Thursday.

Brazil won 2-0.

The 25-year-old started the match and scored both the goals in the second half.

The second one in particular was superb and could end up as being the best goal of the tournament.

Former Liverpool striker Collymore has said that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will now be worried that Richarlison will ask for a new deal.

It does seem like a tongue-in-cheek comment, but you never know if it could come true!

If Brazil win the 2022 Qatar World Cup and Richarlison win the Golden Boot, then a lot of top clubs in mainland Europe will take interest in the former Everton and Watford star.

Now, of course, Tottenham are not going to sell any of their best players, including Richarlison, in the middle of the season, but you never know what could happen next summer, if the North London club are unable to finish in the Premier League top four this season.
