Could Tottenham Hotspur be about to add some Bundesliga talent to their fast-improving squad?

According to a report from the Telegraph Tottenham Hotspur are sending a delegation to Germany in the coming days as they look to wrap up more transfer business.

Tottenham have already signed Toby Alderweireld, Kevin Wimmer and Kieran Trippier this summer but there is likely to be plenty more business completed in the weeks ahead.

The Telegraph report claims Tottenham remain keen on Stuttgart striker Timo Werner while manager Mauricio Pochettino is also considering a move for Christoph Kramer or Sven Bender who player for Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

It is no surprise the trio have been linked with Spurs considering the club are in need of a new forward and an additional central midfielder.

Werner is only 19 but he is highly rated in his homeland and has scored seven goals for Stuttgart’s first-team to date.

That is not exactly form to get the heart racing but he would be a long-term investment who could blossom into a highly effective player for the club.

As for Bender, the 26-year-old would fit instantly into Tottenham’s starting line-up having previously turned out 181 times for Dortmund.

Kramer is two years younger and has an interesting history, having been on the books at Leverkusen since 2008 as a youth player but spending much of the time since then out on loan.

With two years on loan at Bochum and a further two years at Borussia Monchengladbach, could the player leave Leverkusen for Tottenham without ever playing a competitive first-team match for them?

Only time will tell, but it seems Tottenham could be planning on getting some more business done before the month is out.
