Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to sign Anthony Martial from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to sign Anthony Martial, but it seems that Manchester United are keen on retaining the services of the 22-year-old forward.
According to The Mirror, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to secure the services of the France international forward in the summer transfer window.
Martial, though, has opened talks over a new deal with United, who will offer to extend the former AS Monaco star’s current contract, according to The Sun.

Chance gone for Tottenham Hotspur?
Martial, who earns £65,000 per week as salary according to The Daily Star, has struggled to play regularly for United, but there is no doubt that the Red Devils’ forward is hugely talented.
While the chances of playing week in and week at Old Trafford are not great for Martial, the youngster would face the same problem at Tottenham.

It is hard to see any forward, even someone as talented and promising as Martial, displaying Harry Kane anytime soon from the Spurs’ starting lineup.
If United are able to convince Martial to sign a new contract and spend at least one more season at Old Trafford, then Tottenham would have to find someone else to target.
