Tottenham are looking to sign Giovani Lo Celso.

Tottenham Hotspur are in pursuit of Real Betis attacker Giovani Lo Celso.
BBC Sport reported last month that Spurs have already had a big money offer rejected.
Betis want clubs to pay his £88 million release clause, and while this seems expensive, his role at the upcoming Copa American gives him the chance to justify it.
Betis are wise not to sell before the tournament.
Lo Celso was in the Argentina squad at World Cup last summer, but he did not play a single minute.
This won’t be the case at the Copa America. He impressed in the recent friendly against Nicaragua.

Argentine outlet TN report that his partnership with Lionel Messi stood out.
The report reads: “It was barely 45 minutes, but the Betis player managed to fit in with the extraordinary moves of Barcelona’s star and they were the spark that ignited the performance of Argentina.
“Messi played only the first half, as he then came out to avoid any unnecessary wear, but it was enough to make it clear that Lo Celso is perfectly understood.
“If there were any doubts about whether Lo Celso had to be a starter, the connections with Messi in the friendly ended up tipping the balance and guaranteeing ownership.”
Lo Celso getting to play a starring role at the Copa America is good for Real Betis. It’s not so great for Tottenham.
Their most likely route to a deal is going to be paying his release clause. If they can manage it.
