Borussia Monchengladbach are reportedly allowing USA international Joe Scally to leave the club this summer, with the right-back recently linked with a move to Tottenham.
According to Bild, the former New York City FC wonderkid could be moved on to raise much-needed funds at the Bundesliga side, with Scally regarded as one of Gladbach’s best young players and a talent who could go very far in European football.
Aged just 20, Scally has been a regular for Gladbach for the past two seasons, and according to 90min, the New York-born defender is now wanted by Tottenham, with Manchester United also in the mix for the Bundesliga youngster.
Likened to Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold as per the official Bundesliga website, Scally is tipped for the very top in his position, and with Gladbach now open to selling the defender this summer, the opportunity could be there for Tottenham to make a move for the right-back.

Indeed, the north London side have already spent big on right-backs in the last 12 months in the form of Djed Spence and more recently Pedro Porro. However, there is every chance that Scally could now be added to Tottenham’s ranks if Gladbach are looking to sell.
Moreover, depending on which manager Tottenham appoint this summer, Scally could easily become a target for Spurs if the new coach is a fan of the defender’s skillset, with the American a more modern fullback when compared to the more attack-minded Spence and Porro.
Tottenham could make a move for Scally amid Gladbach bombshell

With Gladbach looking to gut the squad and start again, there is now an opportunity in the market for a club to go in for Scally, and Tottenham should take a risk and take a punt on the American international, who could be the player to end Spurs’ problems at right-back.
A seasoned Bundesliga player despite turning 20 in December, Scally has many qualities that could make the defender a cult hero at Tottenham, and with Gladbach looking to sell, the defender could come at a good price if Daniel Levy is keen to add the fullback to his squad this summer.
