It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur manager target Julian Nagelsmann had ‘very positive’ talks with Chelsea.

At first, it was revealed on Thursday that the German tactician was set to be called for an interview with the two-time Champions League winners.

But the bad news for Tottenham Hotspur could now be that Julian Nagelsmann is not only under consideration as Chelsea manager but was seemingly on board in the meeting between both parties.

What was said about Tottenham manager target Nagelsmann and Chelsea talks

The former Bayern Munich boss was branded an ‘outstanding coach’ by Joshua Kimmich via the Irish Independent, after he was shown the door by the Bundesliga champions.

And largely, the reaction after Nagelsmann’s sudden sacking was shock from fans of all clubs, considering how his side were leading in the title race and having beaten Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16.

As Tottenham fans await intently to see if their club can land an incredible manager in Julian Nagelsmann, an update on his Chelsea talks have come to the surface.

“He has visited Chelsea officials last week personally, confirmed! Understand that the talks were very positive. But a fast decision is not expected from all parties. Nagelsmann wants to be 100 % convinced of the project”, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenburg updated.

This is bad news from a Spurs perspective without question.

HITC View: If given the choice, Nagelsmann would likely join the Blues

Ultimately, the financial power that Todd Boehly wields and the fact that he is not afraid to splash the case would automatically attract most coaches to take a punt on the job, as opposed to the frugal operation in N17.

As a result, if given the choice, Julian Nagelsmann is likely to accept the Chelsea and not the Tottenham manager job.

Then again, if the right project is pitched to Nagelsmann by the Spurs bosses, perhaps the unexpected could be expected.
