Tottenham Hotspur pulled off a masterstroke signing Dele Alli in 2015, and now have their eye on another exciting League One youngster.

Maja has been in excellent form for the Black Cats. The 19-year-old has found the back of the net nine times already this term. Only Brentford’s Neal Maupay has scored more goals across England’s top four divisions so far.
It is a remarkable return for Maja who went into this season having previously only scored one senior goal for Sunderland. And it is no surprise therefore, that some Premier League sides have him on their radar, with Spurs said to be amongst those teams.
Targeting a player from League One may not excite the Tottenham supporters too much following a summer where the club signed no one.
But perhaps the Maja links should capture the imagination as it appears that the Sunderland striker may be threatening to become the most exciting teenager League One has seen since Dele Alli was plying his trade with MK Dons.

Alli had scored 12 goals by the time Spurs completed the deal to sign him in February 2015. And while Alli is obviously not a striker, Maja is on course to sail past that tally at his current rate by the time the January window opens.
Maja would do incredibly well to emulate anything like what Alli has gone on to do with Spurs and England, especially as he would have Harry Kane ahead of him for both club and country. But at this stage, he is certainly threatening to keep up with what the Tottenham star was doing while he was looking to make an impact in League One.
