Tottenham could now have to pay as much as £35m if they’re to sign Davide Frattesi, with Sassuolo keen to not sell their star midfielder this summer.

According to Il Bianconero, the Serie A side have increased their asking price for the Italian international to €40m (£35m), with Frattesi enjoying a fantastic season with Sassuolo that has since attracted some major interest, with the report stating that Premier League teams are keeping tabs.

TuttoMercatoWeb have recently reported that Tottenham are in the mix for the ‘super talented’ midfielder, with Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham also chasing Frattesi, who could be set for a massive move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.

With six goals in Serie A this season, Frattesi has been one of the top performers in the division, and with Sassuolo eager to not sell, the Neroverdi are well within their right to demand as much as £35m for the midfielder, especially with interest from the likes of Tottenham and Brighton.

Indeed, Frattesi’s form this season has more than warranted a move to the Premier League, and whilst £35m could be a steep fee for some teams, the midfielder could be worth the price tag, especially with Tottenham interested in a player of the Italian’s profile.

Moreover, with Frattesi just 23-years-old, there’s a good chance that the Sassuolo star will only get better, a prospect that could make Tottenham very keen on making a move for the midfielder this summer.

Sassuolo seem intent on keeping Frattesi on their books for another year, with the Serie A side ramping up their asking price for the midfielder in an attempt to keep Premier League teams at bay, yet this could still be a hopeless task with Tottenham in the mix.

The north London side are keen to sign a creative midfielder with an eye for goal, and at £35m, Frattesi could be a perfect signing for Tottenham, who could be more than happy to pay this fee this summer should the Italian make his intention known that he wants to leave.
