Tottenham target George Nunn reportedly agrees terms over Chelsea transfer

The Crewe Alexandra striker is said to have emerged on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar last year.

Tottenham Hotspur target George Nunn is believed to have agreed terms over a move to Chelsea, according to the Sun.

Nunn is said to have caught Tottenham’s eye last year, after he scored a hat-trick against them for Crewe Alexandra at youth level.

But the Sun reports the 16-year-old is set to continue his development with Chelsea next season, with a compensation package now being discussed between the two clubs.

Nunn has yet to make a senior appearance for Crewe, whose academy produced Nick Powell, Dean Ashton and Danny Murphy – the former Spurs midfielder – among others.

Few youngsters have successfully stepped into the Blues’ first team in recent seasons, with many instead farmed out to other clubs on loan.

Tottenham, in contrast, have shown a willingness in that time to look beyond their senior options, unearthing Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli – whom they signed from League One Milton Keynes Dons – among others.
