According to Footmercato, Tottenham Hotspur target Geoffrey Kondogbia dreams of a move to England with Valencia keen to sell the midfielder.
Valencia are setting in motion a revamp this summer as they look to freshen things up.
A recent report by Cope Cadena claimed the La Liga club will sell up to eight players this summer, including Spain international Rodrigo Moreno.
Footmercato, meanwhile, have named Dani Parejo, Francis Coquelin and Kondogbia as fellow players expected to leave the club who are going through a ‘sporting crisis’.
The French editorial names Tottenham and Manchester United as suitors, while adding that the France international desires to move to the Premier League.
Spurs have been linked with Kondogbia before. A report by Sky Sports in April said Jose Mourinho’s side were keen, while Everton could rival them for his signature.
Kondogbia has a release clause of around £70 million. However, the London Evening Standard claimed he could be available for a much cheaper £26 million fee.
Valencia will be without Champions League football next season, while the global health pandemic will have hit their finances. They aren’t in a position to demand such a big fee.
If the latest reports are true, Tottenham could be in a good position to strike.
Spurs must strengthen their midfield this summer. Moussa Sissoko turns 31 in August, while Tanguy Ndombele has endured a difficult debut campaign in North London.
Kondogbia, 27, still has his best years ahead of him and the holding midfielder appears ready for a big move after helping Valencia win the Copa del Rey last season.
