Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele was far from happy with Nuno Espirito Santo after being left out of Saturday’s defeat to Manchester United.
That’s according to The Mirror, who claim that Ndombele was ‘unhappy’ with Nuno after being left out of the starting XI against United.
The Red Devils ran away with a comfortable 3-0 win, and Ndombele only came off the bench for around 25 minutes.
That decision seemingly didn’t impress Ndombele, who felt he should have been starting the game.
Ndombele took a while to break into Nuno’s Tottenham side, but has made himself a regular in recent weeks.
The Frenchman turned in a stunning performance against Newcastle United last month, scoring a beautiful goal whilst running the game in midfield.
Ndombele only played 24 minutes against Burnley in midweek, so may have been expecting to start against United.
Instead, Nuno picked Giovani Lo Celso as Tottenham’s number 10 – a decision that didn’t exactly pay off as Tottenham failed to muster a single shot on target.

That’s four managers who haven’t quite unlocked Ndombele; Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, interim boss Ryan Mason and now Nuno.
Nuno’s departure has been confirmed today, meaning a fifth manager will be looking to get the best out of Ndombele at Tottenham.
Let’s hope that, finally, Ndombele becomes the player we all know he can be for Tottenham.
