Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon has revealed to Football London that Tanguy Ndombele is always impressing in training.
Ndombele shocked many observers with his piece of skill during Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Sheffield United.
The Frenchman flicked the ball over Aaron Ramsdale and into the back of the net with the outside of his foot, from a angle where he had appeared to have no chance of scoring.
Ndombele’s goal will surely rank among the best in the Premier League this season.
But Rodon says that his Tottenham teammate’s strike didn’t shock him, as he sees it most days in training.
“He’s a very top player and that goal doesn’t surprise me to be honest because he does spectacular things in training all the time,” said Rodon. “I’m delighted for him.”
“I think the club bought him for a reason. He’s a top player and he’s only going to get better and better, the more games he plays.

“Hopefully he becomes what we all think he can be – an elite player.”
Rodon also impressed during Tottenham’s game against the Blades.
While the Welshman may not have made so many headlines as Ndombele, he was solid at the back after being drafted into the side by Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham’s win at Bramall Lane has lifted them up to fifth place in the Premier League table.
